ICSI

Inra cytoplasmic sperm injection :- It is similar to IVF except that here sperm rather than being mixed with eggs is directly injected in to egg with the help of a machine called micro-manipulator.

This procedure is done in cases of severe degree of male infertility, azoospermia, where the sperms are taken from the testis or epididymis and also in cases in previous IVF failures due to fertilization failure. The chances of pregnancy per cycle is 20-30% and 80-90 % after 4 cycles.
The cost of treatment per cycle is Rs. 70,000 to 90,000 inclusive of drugs for ICSI.
